Who's the Elitist?

Caption: McCain owns 7 houses, 13 cars and 1 corporate jet. Obama owns 1 house, 1 car and a bike. Which one is the elitist again?

I'm not even a McCain supporter, but being elitist has nothing to do with how much you own.

Dumb. Just dumb. McCain has been a senator for more than 20 years. On a senator's salary, he's both saved his money and invested it, too. Of course he has more personal wealth than Barack Obama.

Moreover, it's the public referring to who is elitist (democratic generalization) or not, not McCain or Obama.

This poster should be printed by anyone who can't read their way out of a paper bag.

I'm not American but interested enough to comment wryly despite my personal preference for Obama.
Point is: McCain may make make his living by real estate speculation, even rentals, whereas Obama may make his living selling drugs or children, it may be quite legit for McCain to have so many possessions.
How many pounds of gold and diamonds does Obama own?
Fact is: your comparison does little because it merely displays a partial truth which appears to be constructed to mislead.
Are all Obama supporters as devious as you?
Do the man a favour and keep it real, I for one, am not impressed by your approach

Well said Bill. Obviously someone doesn't understand the concept of free enterprise. People do have the ability to earn their own money here. This is America.

Actually, the American Heritage Dictionary defines "elitism" as:
"The belief that certain persons or members of certain classes or groups deserve favored treatment by virtue of their perceived superiority, as in intellect, social status, or financial resources." So by definition, an elitist can be identified as such by material wealth.

The key word, is 'belief'. The mere existence of material wealth doesn't imply elitism. It's the 'belief'. And who cares if McCain does or doesn't have a f$%^*n' bike? Maybe he JOGS.

These posters are really lightweight jabs. Certainly will garner a laugh of approval from like-minded sheep.

Don't forget that McCain is married to a very wealthy woman. How is his situation any different than Kerry's?
